Your first session
Choose how you work with OXYGEN, find your way around Home, connect the CLI, and create your first table without spending a credit.
Sign-up runs create organization (your company website is the one required field, or your company's LinkedIn page if you have no website: OXYGEN reads it once to seed your workspace knowledge) → How did you hear about us? → your second brain → How do you want to work? There is no plan to pick, no trial, and no checkout on the way in.
Your second brain is your workspace's Knowledge graph, drafted from your website while you answer the question before it: your company at the centre, then pages for your offer and products, your ideal customer profile with its segments, buyers, pains and buying triggers, your messaging angles and objections, the search filters that find your buyers, and the customers and competitors your site names, all linked to each other. OXYGEN pays for the draft. The pages are drafts you can open and correct under Knowledge; they shape AI-written copy only once you confirm them. Continue works at any moment, and a workspace started from a LinkedIn page skips this step.
The last step is one choice:
- Your own agent. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or another agent through MCP or the CLI on the Install OXYGEN step, then paste the onboarding prompt it gives you into your agent.
- OXYGEN Copilot. OXYGEN's own agent, in the app, with nothing to install. Your onboarding conversation starts right away: it tells you in a few lines what OXYGEN's research found about your company, drafts your ideal customer profile for you to correct and asks what you want to build first. Then it walks you through the Get started steps one at a time: your first leads in a First leads table, a first sequence, connecting your LinkedIn account, and the launch.
You can use both later; the choice only decides where your first session starts. If the Copilot is not available to your account, sign-up goes straight to Install OXYGEN.
What the free tier gives you
The Free plan has no recurring charge or trial deadline. Eligible billing owners receive 250 signup credits once when signup grants are enabled, with no monthly refill. Read oxygen billing balance --json for your available balance. Live enrichment and other paid work consume credits; author and preview your outbound motion before running it. Plan prices, included credits, and what each unit costs: pricing reference.
Read oxygen billing estimate --json for your connection model: with credit_reservations, each connected account is a monthly credit reservation; with sending_seats, a sending seat. Connecting an account to send or publish from (a LinkedIn account, mailbox, WhatsApp number, X account or phone number) and buying managed inboxes need a plan on either model, whatever your credit balance, as do plan-gated providers; new provider API keys need $99 or above, with existing-key exceptions (billing). Use Billing & credits (sidebar footer → Settings → /settings#/billing) to add credits or choose a plan. Everything you built carries over; separately funded purchases keep their own billing terms.
Reading Home
Home is where you talk to OXYGEN Copilot. Ask for what you want in your own words, or start from one of the suggested plays under the composer. Each message opens a conversation at /copilot/<id>, and your earlier conversations are listed beside it. The Copilot runs the same tools as the CLI and MCP, shows what each paid or outbound step costs, and asks before it spends credits beyond a small allowance or sends anything.
If the Copilot is not available to your account, Home shows the featured plays as prompts to copy into your own agent, your last 30 days of outreach and content, and what is running: sequences, scheduled posts and workflows.
Teach the Copilot how your team works with workspace skills. Knowledge → Skills lists the skills OXYGEN ships and your workspace's own. Create one with oxygen skills workspace create --name <name> --description <text> --instructions <text>, or bring a folder with a SKILL.md in it with oxygen skills workspace import --directory <path> (up to 50 text files and 1 MB; scripts in it never run). A skill only guides the work: it never grants a tool, spend or an approval.
A read-only standup of your workspace is in the terminal, 0 credits:
oxygen home --jsonThe sidebar
| Group | Item | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
Home /home | OXYGEN Copilot, or featured plays and recent activity without it. | |

| Data | Analytics /analytics | Outreach (sequence results), Deliverability (mailbox health, bounces, warm-up and placement tests) and Content (post reach and engagement). |
| Data | Knowledge /knowledge | Your company profile, ICP, positioning, and skills. |
| Action | Sequencer /sequencer | Outbound programs, sending accounts, and the do-not-contact list. |

The bottom of the sidebar holds the workspace switcher, your credits, Support, Connections (/connections: provider accounts and API keys) and Settings. The Settings menu also opens Plays, Observability (/observability: every run, its cost, and its provenance), Tags (/tags: shared vocabulary across records, tables, and campaigns) and CRM Data Model. Agents and Approvals have no sidebar row; their pages open from links. Cmd-K jumps to any page by name, including those, and searches your tables, records and conversations; oxygen workspace map --query <text> runs the same search from the terminal.
The Get started steps are four: Source your first leads, Create your first sequence, Connect your first account and Add your leads and launch. Each ticks itself off from the workspace, whichever surface did the work. Your agent reads them with oxygen activation checklist --json and guides you through them in order.
Where credits live
Billing & credits in the Settings menu (/settings#/billing) answers every money question in one place: your plan, top-ups, seats and cancellation, and below them where credits went — by feature, provider, and day. From the CLI, oxygen billing balance --json and oxygen billing usage --json.
Plan limits, the tab beside it (/limits), shows every plan size's limits side by side — API rate, storage, import size, spend defaults, sending limits — and Estimate a month prices a month of the work you describe (leads, enrichment, steps, mailboxes, accounts) and names the limit it would hit. From the CLI, oxygen limits show --json and oxygen billing estimate --json.
Connect the CLI
Home's top bar has a CLI and MCP button (on Home and Plays — other pages give that space to their own actions). It opens the same setup block as the Settings menu's CLI and MCP entry at /settings/cli.
npm install -g @oxygen-agent/cli
oxygen loginNeeds Node.js 22.22.0+ and npm 10.9.0+. oxygen login opens the browser and waits; check the confirmation code matches your terminal, then click Approve this terminal.
If the handoff never completes — no browser on that box, a network that blocks the wait — the terminal prints the manual path. On /settings/cli, click Create session and paste the oxygen login --token <token> line it shows into that terminal. The token is shown once.
Confirm you are connected, against the right workspace:
oxygen whoami --json
oxygen orgs list --json
oxygen orgs use <slug>The CLI updates itself, including when a command fails with cli_update_required because it is older than the deployed API. If automatic updates are off (see Updates), run oxygen update and retry. oxygen status --json compares the two versions directly.
Using Claude or ChatGPT instead of a terminal? Pick it in the same panel for its connector address and setup steps; MCP setup covers every other client.
A first action that costs nothing
Create a table and look at it.
Click Tables in the sidebar (an empty workspace shows No tables yet), then New → Table in the top bar (/tables/new). The source picker groups the ways a table can start under Companies, People, Professional Network, Imports, CRM and Signals — company and people searches, local businesses on Google Maps, your LinkedIn network, a file, a webhook, a HubSpot, Pipedrive or Records import, and job postings. Pick Blank table: it creates a table named New table with one text column, Name, and opens the grid. Rename it in the breadcrumb. The grid's controls are Tools in the top bar (its Export tab holds Import rows and Export CSV), the + at the end of the column header row that adds a column, a magnifier in the breadcrumb that searches the rows, and New row as the last row of the grid itself — rows are appended at the bottom, where that button is.
The same thing from the terminal:
oxygen tables create "First list" \
--columns-json '[{"key":"company","label":"Company","dataType":"text"},{"key":"domain","label":"Domain","dataType":"text"}]' \
--json
oxygen tables list --json
oxygen tables preview <table-id-or-slug> --limit 10 --jsonThe create response carries a web_url. Open it and you are looking at the same grid.
Blank table, Import a CSV and Webhook spend nothing, and neither do the Professional Network cards that read your own connections, followers, open requests and profile viewers. Cards that buy data — company and people searches, Google Maps, job postings, post engagers and company followers — price the work first and wait for your approval, as do AI columns, enrichment columns, and sending: approvals, spend caps.
